Report: Where did Poles send parcels in 2025 and what was inside them?

06.02.2026

The most popular shipping destinations and parcel contents – see what we sent most often

In 2025, the courier services market in Poland recorded another set of record-breaking results. The biggest influence on this was, of course, the development of e-commerce, which according to the "2025 E-commerce Trends" report, is undergoing dynamic automation. Solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) and growing environmental awareness are playing an increasingly important role. How does this translate into the number of parcels sent in Poland and a cross-section of their contents?

How many parcels did Poles send in 2025?

Forecasts from the Office of Electronic Communications indicate that courier companies in Poland handled approximately 1.34 billion shipments in 2025. This is a clear increase compared to 2024, when 1.214 billion parcels were delivered. Estimates suggest that in 2026, the number of shipments could exceed 1.5 billion, mainly thanks to the further development of e-commerce.

InPost is the clear dominant force in the market. As many as 71.8% of consumers choose this operator, which translates into hundreds of millions of parcels annually. According to the company's data, this year the figures were:

  • 763 million shipments in Poland,

  • 339 million shipments in the eurozone,

  • 262 million shipments in the United Kingdom.

Online retail remains the main driver of growth. Sales peaks occur in the fourth quarter of the year when, due to Black Friday and Christmas, the number of shipments increases by up to 20%. Customers of online stores are increasingly choosing courier services, partly due to the development of the parcel locker network. The high number of parcels sent is also a result of the international expansion of Polish sellers (e.g., to the British market).

Among the key trends in the postal industry, strong automation is evident. InPost already operates over 61,000 parcel lockers. Premium deliveries and the brand recognition of the courier company are also playing an increasingly important role. 76% of consumers consider it a significant factor in their choice. At the same time, companies are facing challenges such as the pressure for timely deliveries during peak periods, rising labour costs, and complex customs procedures for international shipments.

What were the most common contents of parcels in 2025?

In 2025, the contents of B2C (business-to-consumer) parcels most often consisted of clothes, shoes, and cosmetics. This is proven by data from the "E-commerce in Poland 2025" report, which accurately reflects the structure of online shopping and, consequently, the contents of the parcels sent.

In 2025, Poles most frequently ordered the following online:

  • clothing and accessories – at least 77% of consumers bought them at least once,

  • footwear – 65%,

  • cosmetics and perfumes – 65%,

  • pharmaceutical products – 57%,

  • books, CDs, and films – 53%.

Where did Poles send parcels in 2025?

In 2025, the most popular destinations for international parcels from Poland were Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. This data comes from last year's DHL report. As many as 61% of Polish e-commerce companies sell their products outside the country. This result is very close to the global average of 64%. The most frequent shipping destinations were:

  • Germany – 67% of the surveyed companies send their products there,

  • France – 42%,

  • United Kingdom – 31%,

  • Czech Republic – 30%,

  • USA – 24%.

Ukraine also remains a significant shipping destination. This is partly due to the large number of Ukrainians living in Poland who regularly send parcels to their relatives. This segment is dominated by operators specialising in handling shipments to Ukraine, such as Meest Post.
