If you’re sending a package within the European Union, you need only describe the contents of the parcel in general terms.
For packages leaving the EU customs area, a more detailed declaration of the contents is required – a so-called customs declaration.
In the customs declaration, specify the category of the goods which best describes the contents of your package (e.g. sweets, clothes, cosmetics) and specify their value and weight. If you’re sending goods of various categories in one package, describe them under individual headings.
